Solvang, the "Danish Capital of America", is one of the most popular cycling regions in California. The Solvang Century is the biggest event in the area.
The Solvang Century leads west through Buellton and follows Santa Rosa Road to Lompoc. Then the route turns north, visiting Vandenberg Village and Santa Maria, the farthest point. Afterwards the course heads east towards Sisquoc, and then south following Foxen Canyon and Ballard Canyon back into Solvang.
