10k Trail Run - 10k Hike - 1k Kids. What used to be a no-holds barred run up a mountain in the 1970's, turned grassroots community running event, is now back with a competitive edge that's fun for everyone!! This classic trail run is one of the hardest 10k races in Los Angeles and offers a cash prize purse, a "Speed Demon" time bonus, and a fastest "Local Legend" prize. Finisher medals, overall winners and age group awards are handcrafted by local artists, the shirts are soft, a sweet design, and fit specific to men, women, and children, and you get official bragging rights for next year's event.
Be a part of the Hiker's Delight and get a head start on runners up the mountain.
Kids can run the Junior Tough Topanga 1-kilometer race, too.
At the post-race festival, visit local artists from this unique community nestled away in the Santa Monica Mountains, or make runner friends in the beer garden while embellishing race stories. There'll be plenty of food at the Runners' Breakfast and places to sit and enjoy the live band for everyone. Cheer on the future of trail running as kids run the Junior's race and stick around for the awards ceremony honoring the toughest runners. Maybe even get lucky and win a giveaway from an amazing event sponsor!
