TriFit Intermediate/Advanced BRICK
Description This ride is officially part of the TriFit Multisport 2018 Triathlon Season!! For most of the season, we’ll have two ride options based on the races for which we are training. For the first part of the season we’re focusing on the Wildflower Long Course and Olympic Distance races.

This week's session is the first BRICK (Bike/Run) of the season! Be sure to bring running shoes/gear (and the ability to secure your bike) for this multisport workout.

Meet at the corner of Ocean and San Vicente in Santa Monica at 7:30am. You should feel comfortable riding in a pack before joining the ride. The goal of the ride is to stay at a good extensive aerobic pace. As always, please be prepared with hydration, extra tubes, etc.

BIKE: Wildflower (WF) Long Course group: Here’s the route: https://www.strava.com/routes/12033239. We’ll head up San Vicente to Bundy, climb up and over Bundy. We’ll then head down via Bowling Green, head up Homewood and then down Kenter back to San Vicente. We’ll then take San Vicente to 7th and do Amalfi. Once back to Sunset, we’ll head to Mandeville and up to Chalon. We’ll take Chalon up to Westridge and descend back to Mandeville. We’ll then ride back to the start via Rockingham and San Vicente. Mileage: ~25; gain: ~1800ft.

WF Olympic Distance group: Here’s the route: https://www.strava.com/routes/12033457. We’ll head up San Vicente to Bundy, climb up and over Bundy. We’ll then head down via Bowling Green, head up Homewood and then down Kenter back to San Vicente and return to start. Mileage: ~15; gain: ~900ft

REGROUPINGS: 1) Mt. St. Mary’s (top of Bundy) 2) Bottom of Kenter at Sunset 3) Sunset and Capri 4) Chalon and Westridge

RUN: WF LC group: Here’s the route: https://www.strava.com/routes/12033537. Up and over Amalfi to the Troll Bridge and back. Mileage: 4; gain: ~300ft.

WF OD group: Here’s the route: https://www.strava.com/routes/12033574. Up and over Amalfi to the Rustic Canyon Recreation Center and back. Mileage: 3; gain: ~270ft. For more information please email ryan@trifitla.com
