PCH 101 Bike Ride
|
Description |
Join me and other teammates to enjoy our weekly Saturday ride on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) just north of Malibu, at Zuma Beach.
This is a perfect ride for new or advanced members- wide shoulders, light traffic, and only a few lights. There may be riders doing shorter or longer distances, or wanting to climb. Our typical ride out to Big Rock is between 30-33 miles RT. Big Rock is a large rock formation that is on the western side of PCH, just south of Las Posas Road. Sometimes we go longer into Oxnard, and sometimes we add climbing, up Encinal, Mulholland, or other canyons. We group up based on distance and speed so you will have friends to ride with. This is a perfect ride if you want to ride with a group, or alone.
On our way out, we have a weekly photo op at Big Rock.
Meet at 8:20am, depart at 8:30am. Safety review will be at 8:25am, and then roll out.
NOTE: All of our training events are at your own risk. You are responsible for your own safety. Bring plenty of hydration and nutrition.
