Santa Barbara Transiition challenge & Roadie games
Description Transition Challenge:Bracket Style SINGLE-ELIMINATION Competition. Limited to 64 participants- 8 Triathletes race, top 4 finishers move onto the next round. Sequence of race: Athletes will race from start, approximately 10 feet, wetsuit waist-high, to T1. Equip helmet, race belt, shoes, travel 10 feet to T2 (without bike mount or dismount). Rack bike, transition to running equipment, and cross finish line in additional 10 feet. Race lasts approximately 60-120 seconds. Top half of field moves onto next round. Roadie Games - Quick Draw:The Roadie Games Quick Draw Front Tire Tube Change will be a qualified-based, timed event, occurring throughout the day. By 1 pm, the fastest 32 qualifying times will compete head-to-head for two single-elimation rounds. Wheel set speed comp:This is a speed competition for changing, aka removing & adding your wheel set. Similar to the Quick Draw Competition, competitors will use qualifying time to determine the top 32 racers. From there, 4-way head-to head competition will continue until a champion is named. 4 Competitors per round, top competitor moves onto next round. Agility Course:ROADIE GAMES – AGILITY COURSE For Advanced Cyclists, this agility trial course may or may not include brief track stands in designated areas, and/or minor wheel hopping sequences. Qualifying times will reveal top 32 competitors. From there, 4 Competitors per round, top competitor moves onto next round.
