The Challenge Shepparton triathlon is on! Entries are now open for a fantastic new course for an even better experience for both athletes and the huge crowds which Shepparton is famous for.
It’s on November 16, 2014 when the Mediterranean-type climate in Australia’s fruit growing capital is at its best.
Challenge Shepparton features a brand new course. The 1.9 km swim moves to Victoria Park Lake in the centre of town, followed by two fast and flat laps of a new 45 km bike loop and then three laps of a lake, river and bush running course for the final 21.1 kms.
With the Shepparton Triathlon Club unable to stage a race this year, a new partnership has stepped in and secured a Challenge Family event so all triathletes, local and regional clubs and the wider community don’t miss out on this first-rate event on the national tri calendar.
Challenge Australia has awarded the new organising partnership, made up of McPherson Media Group (Shepparton News), Greater Shepparton City Council and SuperSprint, the rights to the new event which will deliver the superb athlete experience which Shepparton is renowned for.
