Description The UC Santa Barbara Triathlon and USAT Southwest Regional Aquabike Championship - 1/2 mile swim, 16 mile bike, 3 mile run. Kendra's Race is a sprint distance triathlon hosted by the UCSB Triathlon Team to benefit the Kendra Chiota Payne Memorial Fund.

Comments The race takes place on UC Santa Barbara's beautiful oceanfront campus. The swim course consists of a 1/2 mile ocean swim starting at UCSB's legendary Campus Point Beach. The swim starts at the sandy public access beach across from the UCSB lagoon, and finishes 400 yards south at Poles Beach. The bike course consists of a 16 mile loop through the City of Goleta and Santa Barbara County. The course starts by takes athletes on the bike path past Goleta Beach, then along scenic Cathedral Oaks Drive, and back along the Pacific Coast Bike Route and through UCSB's campus. he run course consists of a 1-loop run over a rolling 3 mile course. The course goes most of the way around the UCSB Lagoon along paved and hard-packed trails. The run is almost out-and-back, with a slight detour on the way back.
