Lake Tahoe Triathlon and Duathlon

Description |
The Lake Tahoe Triathlon and Duathlon take place in Sugar Pine State Park in Tahoe City, California. The park sits at an elevation of 6,200 feet. The swim course takes place in clean and clear Lake Tahoe, which averages 68-71 degrees in August. The bike and run courses include beautiful views of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay and the surrounding peaks, as well as Edwin L Z’berg Natural Preserve and General Creek Trail. The day consists of Sprint and Olympic triathlons, as well as a Duathlon.
Sprint Triathlon: 500 meter swim, 10 mile bike, 2 mile run.
Olympic Triathlon: 1.5K swim (0.9 miles), 40K bike (24.8 miles), 6.9 mile run.
Duathlon: 3 mile run, 40K bike (24.8 miles), 6.9 mile run.
