Description You will be required to sign in, write down your member #, supply emergency contact, write down distance you are swimming and put a check by your name when you complete the swim.

Please note that we are neither lifeguards nor instructors!!! All swimmers participate at their own risk.

This is an out and back ocean swim. The entry/exit is virtually surf free. We meet in front of the last lifeguard station and the jetty on the southernmost part of Venice Beach in Marina Del Rey.

Meter parking is available on the corners of Pacific Avenue and Via Marina, overlooking the marina. If you are lucky you might even find parking on Pacific Ave. There are clean bathrooms and showers conveniently located.

Prior ocean-swimming experience is necessary, and you must be able to swim at least 400 yards non-stop in the pool. Please be sure to also bring a bright swim cap and be prepared to pair up with a swimming buddy.

You can swim any distance from a 1/4 mile to 2 miles; the choice is yours.
