| Playa Del Rey Triathlon

| Description |
Set along the beautiful bluffs of Dockweiler State Beach in Playa Del Rey, the 4th annual Playa Del Rey triathlon will be held on October 16th. The event is a fundraiser for local collegiate triathlon and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the UCLA & USC Triathlon Teams. Over the last few years the event has raised over $11,000 for collegiate triathlon.
The race is scheduled for Sunday, October 16th. The swim is 600 meters, bike is 20K, and the run is 5K.
The bike is a single 12 mile loop on Vista Del Mar, Pershing Dr., and Westchester Parkway. Those of you familiar with the area know that this course is flat and very fast (depending on the wind!). Plus, the roads will be entirely closed to traffic! The run course is an out-and-back loop on the Dockweiler service road. |
