Come and enjoy a very special early season race. This evening race takes place at scenic Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Each event distance will start at Boulder Beach, Lake Mead and finish an the Bootleg Canyon Park in Boulder City, NV. A perfect opportunity to enjoy our post race party with your family and friends. With the event finishing in Boulder City this year, the finish party will include award winning beer from the Boulder Dam Brewery, a BBQ, a climbing Wall and bouncy House for the kids and live music!! This is the 3rd year for the Showdown event and The 2nd Year of The Showdown Long Course. This race has standard 1/2 distances of 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run and starts at 12noon and has an 8 hour cut off time. Your first race of the year without the 4AM wake up call!

Three great races, a Half, Intermediate and Sprint. All with afternoon starts. the intermediate will start at 3:30pm and the Sprint at 4:30pm.

All bike courses will be within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and finish with an grradual uphill on the paved, traffic free, River Mountain Trail into Boulder City.See course maps for your distance and respective turnaround. This is a rolling hill course with a few sustained climbs and some fun, fast downhills.

The Run course will begin at T2 at the Bootleg Canyon Park . All courses will be out and back on the River Mountain Trail, running toward Henderson and the Railroad Pass Casino. With separate turnarounds based on the race distance. There will not be multi-loop run courses.
