I was in the 2nd to last wave, with a swim start at 8:30 a.m., so I didn't hit the run till around noon. It was very hot (high about 90) with little shade, especially in the 2nd half of run course. I prepared for heat: cooler filled with ice and cold Gatorade in T2, plus well ventilated running cap, which I filled with ice whenever possible. Still, it was a slow run.
