Here are 10 reasons why Big Rock Tri in Lake Perris, Moreno Valley, CA rules 1- Its an easy 75 minute drive from LA 2- Its on Saturday (and who doesn't love racing on Saturday instead of Sunday) 3- Weather in Riverside in April and October is perfect for racing- not too hot, not too cold 4- No parking drama- big empty lots all over the place, short walk to transition 5- Its a challenging course! Bike has hills! Run has rollers and goes out over the dam! Fun! 6- The Lake Perris park is clean and beautiful 7- Very spectator friendly 8- The lake is warm, clean and sandy bottomed 9- The race director Kirk is earnest, committed and great- hospitable, cares about the participant and spectator experience, cares about the race course and the environment (and that we racers have more than enough porta- potties) 10- There are Sprint and Olympic distance choices on the same day **(oh-11-bonus- its VERY reasonably priced for race entry) ***Oh-wait- one more- civilized start time of 7:30am!- sorry, that's 12 great reasons why Big Rock Tri rules.) Over n out Amy B (not Iron that is...)
